  Carleen Shaffer is the Instructional Design Specialist for OIT. Carleen has fifteen years experience in education and training, beginning as a secondary education technology teacher. The last four years she has focused in online teaching and learning as a SunGuard Collegis employee. Carleen began working for SunGuard Collegis as a Technical Tools Trainer providing services to multiple clients in Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Chicago. In December 2000, Carleen was assigned National-Louis University as a client to provide training and consultation for instructors on the tools and pedagogy for teaching web-enhanced courses. In July 2002, Carleen accepted a transfer to become a fully-dedicated onsite Collegis Instructional Analyst for National-Louis University. Besides providing training and consultation, Carleen continually conducts research and development of resources and references on Best Practices in OL for use by faculty.

Kimberly Augustin is the Technology Trainer for OIT. Kimberly has over 8 years of experience in education and training, mostly in Corporate America and higher education. Specifically, she has facilitated hands-on computing instruction at the University of South Florida, Academic Computing Department as a Trainer to faculty and students. Kimberly has dedicated herself to the university experience by working as a Student Registration Supervisor managing student organizations and maintaining relationships with staff, faculty, and other prominent individuals throughout the university. She has taught a diversification of technology courses including business courses as an adjunct instructor. Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida. Kimberly focused on furthering her educational studies by graduating with a Master's of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Kimberly expects to earn a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Training Divisions and Educational Management in September 2008.
