Academic Computing offers a variety of flexible solutions to address the on-going demands for assistance. About the OIT Training Staff.

Approach

Classroom Training   Team: Department participants trained as a group by a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Workshops: Open workshop presented by a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Consultation   One-on-One: Personal consultation with a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Small Group: Consultation for small group of five or less participants with a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Webinar   Team: Department participants trained as a group by a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Workshops: Open workshop presented by a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

One-on-One: Personal consultation with a Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer, or other OIT Staff

Lunch 'n Learns or Roundtable Discussions   Informal opportunities for instructors to share best practices on the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Session facilitated by Technology Trainer, Instructional Designer or other OIT Staff.

  3. Check the Training Calendar for upcoming training sessions.
  4. To schedule a session, please complete our training enrollment form online, or email us at Learning@nl.edu.
  5. Email appropriate contact if you have any questions or if the training you desire is not on the calendar.
  6. Send your training request through the Help Desk to schedule, or you may submit your request online.

It is vitally important that we evaluate the effectiveness of our training and consultation services. We ask that you take 5 minutes of your time to complete the online training evaluation immediately after instruction. A survey will be sent to you via email immediately following training delivery.
