  New Technical Staff to Help You

Technology staffing transitions during the summer included two replacements and one augmented position:

Carlos Hurtado is our new Evanston technician. He brings with him years of experience, including extensive Apple/Mac experience learned while working at Columbia College.

Kevin Hickey is the new voice on the HelpDesk phones on the 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. shift. He brings with him years of phone support experience supporting diverse peripherals on both PC and Mac platforms.

Carleen Shaffer is a name known by some NLU faculty already. Carleen had been a traveling Instructional Design/Web CT trainer for Collegis Learning Technologies (formerly called Eduprise). Carleen is now stationed full time at NLU, with her office in Evanston. This transition to fulltime NLU status was made possible at no cost to NLU by operational efficiencies realized by the re-merging of Collegis and Eduprise (now the Learning Technologies division of Collegis).
