Wide Area Network Upgrade Completed
We are pleased to announce the completion of a major project to upgrade our Wide Area Network (WAN = network connections between campuses and to the Internet). The purpose of this project was to replace our existing WAN with one that provided a greater level of reliability and redundancy, and greater network speeds, yet at no additional cost to the University.
Decisions about speed enhancements were based on patterns of actual network usage, and are shown in the following table.
